‘Twas the Final Days Before the Deadline

Twas the final days before the deadline and all through the store
All the workers were scurrying, to get that job out the door;
The workload was crazy, the phones were insane,
 The schedule was so tight that there was no time to complain;

The data was sent and all looked okay,
And suddenly the craziness began to fade away;
With the phones dying down and the job nearly through,
I began to think this went too good to be true,

When outside the office there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from my desk to see what was the matter.
Away to the doorway I flew like a plane,
Passed my boss in the hall who was going insane.

“Our client just called and there’s something wrong,
They said they are coming and will be here before
long.” Then what to our total surprise should appear,
But a huge tractor-trailer, and another on its rear,

A little old driver, so lively and quick,
I thought for a minute that I was going to be sick.
Before he could tell me, I already knew,
This job is now different, my face began to turn blue;

The driver walked up and said, “I’ve got some bad news.”
“We supplied the wrong piece; these pieces here are for you.”
He went on to ask me if the job could be done
I told him we work best when we’re under the gun.

I stormed back inside and got on the phone,
I knew we couldn’t get this job done alone,
The other end picked up and I was relieved,
I needed some help and WORDTECH agreed.

They told me, “No problem, we’ll do it in time.”
“We can pick it up right now, if you don’t mind.”
As I hung up the phone, a smile drew across my face;
WORDTECH had saved me, Gosh, what a place!

The final days passed and WORDTECH came through,
Thanks to their experienced and dedicated crew;
My boss was so happy, he hugged everyone in sight,
He wished us a MERRY CHRISTMAS, and we all had a good night.
